We prepare our children…

Religious Education begins in Grade 1, with preparation for the Sacraments of First Penance and First Communion, and continues through Grade 10, as students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Children are required to attend Religious Education every year from Grade 1 to Grade 10, unless they are enrolled in a Catholic school. Students enrolled in a Catholic School ONLY attend religious education classes as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 10.

First Penance and First Communion preparation is a two year program beginning in Grade 1 and is celebrated in Grade 2.

Confirmation preparation is also a two year program for students enrolled  in Grades 9 & 10. Confirmation is received in Grade 10, or the second year of preparation.

How and when do you register?

You can register your child/ren by clicking on the link below. In order to register your children, your family must be registered parishioners of Immaculate Conception Church. If you would like to join our community of faith, please call  942-1854 ext. 227.

When do classes meet?

All students in grades 1-10 are welcome to participate in our Religious Education program. If enrolled in a parochial school, students only have to attend classes as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation in grade 10, but still must register in Grade 9 for the program.
All classes are held weekly on Sundays and Mondays for an hour and fifteen minutes.
  • Grades 1, 3-5  classes are offered Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 10:15 am, and Monday afternoons from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • ALL Grade 2 students will meet on Monday afternoons from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • Grades 6, 7, & 8 classes are offered Sunday and Monday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM.
  • ALL Grades 9 & 10 students will meet on Monday nights from 7:15 PM to 8:30 PM.

First Communion and Confirmation Preparation

Religious Education begins in grade 1 and ends in grade 10. Children who attend Catholic School attend Religious Education only in grades 2 and 10. Children who do not attend Catholic School are required to attend Religious Education every year through Confirmation. First Communion and First Penance preparation are in grades 1 & 2 celebrating First Penance and First Communion the second year. Confirmation preparation is held in grades 9 & 10. Confirmation is received in grade 10 or the second year of preparation.
